Rovina is sold as kidney and whole-body support, so it shares ClarityMD's focus. It uses natural Haematococcus pluvialis in organic coconut oil and also offers a 90-day guarantee. Its A- comes from how the dose is split. A single softgel holds 3mg, so the 12mg on the front of the pouch takes four a day, two in the morning and two in the evening.

Double Wood puts 12mg of AstaReal, a branded astaxanthin, into one extra virgin olive oil softgel. At $25.95 for 60, that is about 43 cents a day, the lowest at 12mg here.
Its lab reports are public, and it comes from a US cGMP plant. Two things held it at a B+. Its page sells it for skin, eyes, joints, immunity and recovery, and kidneys go unmentioned. And its guarantee runs 30 days, a third of the 90 you get from ClarityMD and Rovina.
The Bottom Line:

Of the five, Sports Research is the one with a plant-based shell. Its certified-vegan softgel holds 12mg of Icelandic Astalif in organic coconut oil, and a 60-day bottle costs $26.95.
